Medify is recruiting motivated educational professionals with excellent written communication skills to write tutorials and accompanying questions on a freelance basis. This is a flexible position that will be especially appealing to educational writers, tutors and teachers with excellent knowledge of the chemistry curriculum at all levels of education and a strong understanding of pedagogy.
In this role, you will write chemistry tutorials and questions which explain, teach and test all fundamental knowledge needed to pass examinations. You will use your pedagogical expertise to produce concise learning content, examples and activities which create real learning opportunities. You will also write assessment content which enables students to test their knowledge, identify misconceptions and measure their improvement.
You will work remotely on a negotiable schedule that suits your availability and interest, but you will need to be able to spend a minimum of 2–3 hours a week writing questions starting in November 2023. Top performing writers may expect to work 6–10 hours per week. The base rate for writing test content is £20 per hour.
Applicants must have a degree in chemistry and have experience of writing educational content in the field of chemistry (this could be in production of printed content, online content or in the production of teaching resources). Teaching experience, preferably with a teaching qualification, is highly desirable – particularly in the field of A-level chemistry.
Applicants who pass an initial screening will be invited to submit a trial. Those who pass the trial will be paid for their trial questions, trained to write test content to our specifications, and commissioned for their first assignment.
